Section of Clinical Sciences: Weekly Seminars

The Section of Clinical Sciences in the Division of Rheumatology, Immunology and Allergy consists of investigators who are leaders in the field of clinical population sciences research. The Section was established within the Division of Rheumatology, Immunology and Allergy in 2002, with Dr. Jeffrey N. Katz as founding Section Chief.  In 2007, Dr. Daniel H. Solomon became Section Chief.  The Section builds on the model and structure for clinical research first established in 1977 by Dr. Matthew Liang at the Robert B. Brigham Multipurpose Arthritis Center, a NIAMS P60 program.

We invite you to participate in a new monthly research seminar focused on clinical musculoskeletal research and sponsored by the Orthopedic and Arthritis Center for Outcomes Research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital as well as our NIH funded T32 Clinical Orthopedic and Musculoskeletal Education and Training Program (COMET).

The seminar will bring together members of the Boston academic community interested in clinical research on musculoskeletal and orthopedic disorders.  The seminar will take place at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on the 4th Monday of each month from 8-9 am.  At each seminar a trainee or faculty member will present research in progress and lively discussion will follow.  Our T32 recipients will be required to present at least once a year and other trainees and fellows will be able to present as well.

Seminars are held in the BTM 05010 conference room from 8:00am – 9:00am. Coffee and pastries will be served. The seminars are coordinated by Jo Harvey.  Please let her know if you have any questions.  We look forward to seeing you then.
