After two years as colleagues at OrACORe, former research assistants Angela Chen and Genny Silva are now classmates at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. On August 16, just two months after leaving OrACORe, the duo met again at their White Coat Ceremony, the traditional start to medical school at which students receive their white coats and stethoscopes and recite the Hippocratic Oath. Silva is pursuing an MD, while Chen is pursuing an MD/PhD.

As research assistants, Chen and Silva both worked on OAPol, SHielD, and STrIDeS. Chen also contributed to TeMPO and PRIDE; and Silva assisted on MeTeOR.
